The Gateway Drug finally started to get the ball rolling when releasing a debut album- 'times new roman'- after carefully forming the sphere for years. Basement house parties and late night college radio ciphers were just the pre-requisites that lead to the trio's first effort, recorded in the summer of 2008. Dozens of shows in four states later, the boys decided it was time to empty the notebooks and head back to the lab for a sophomore CD, taking from years of lessons learned to better perfect the craft.

Then what happened??

The birth of kids, bitter break-ups, career changes, and even a marriage proposal (she said yes, a Mrs. Poyo will soon join the team) left The Gateway Drug agenda in limbo. The responsibilities of maturation set in heavy on all three group members, but the passion for creation didn't die; it just lay dormant.

Several swift, but motivational kicks to the rear set the 'Two Dogs and a Dragon' (a reference to the signs of the Chinese calendar that the fellas were born under) EP in motion, although set around wildly inconsistent schedules.

The seven-track album is now finally ready for public consumption!!!
